Listen to writers “narrate” a film clip with one of their creative works. Explore Japanese American and post-9/11 South Asian internment, and just sip cocktails with renowned writers. The day culminates in a special reading with Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri, who reads from her new short story collection Unaccustomed Earth.
The first of its kind in the nation, Page Turner, The Asian American Literary Festival is a noteworthy event for all ages that will showcase more than thirty award-winning authors reading together for the first time. The day will culminate with the 12th Annual Asian American Literary Awards and cocktail reception honoring outstanding Asian American authors in poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Come for one reading or stay for the entire day!
