{"id":11025,"date":"2011-03-24T01:30:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T05:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=11025"},"modified":"2011-03-24T01:32:13","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T05:32:13","slug":"au-ekbutr-udomphol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=11025","title":{"rendered":"Au Ekbutr Udomphol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Au Ekbutr Udomphol is an amazing designer that is originally from Bangkok, Thailand.\u00a0 His collection is called <a href=\"http:\/\/theonlyson.com\">The Only Son<\/a> that includes &#8211; shoes, bags, jewelery as well  as both menswear and womenswear.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/clarke_au_05.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11025]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11026\" title=\"Au Ekbutr Udomphol\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/clarke_au_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Designer Au Ekbutr Udomphol)<\/p>\n<p>For Spring Summer 2011 The Only Son takes inspiration from the artist  Brion Gysin and his work with sound experiments, widely referred to as  the cut up technique. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oN8hwjsfqTk\">Pistol Poem<\/a> was the title Gysin used for a poem  recorded for the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>Gysin\u2019s piece features the sound of a pistol being fired and that of a  marksman counting the shots. The Only Son provides a visual  interpretation of this with firearm, bullet, shooting target and hunting  references used throughout the collection. The work of Gysin was both  surreal and minimal in style.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/theonlyson2-217x300.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11025]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11028\" title=\"the only son \" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/theonlyson2-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prior to launching his debut label \u2013 The Only Son, the designer Au  Ekbutr Udomphol acquired extensive knowledge and training at  well-respected fashion labels in Australia and New York., such as Ksubi,  Sass &amp; Bide, and Imitation of Christ.
