Juju Chang is a New York-based Emmy award-winning correspondent for ABC News’ “20\/20 and “Good Morning America”. She also occasionally anchors for “Good Morning America’s Weekend Edition” and ABC News Now.<\/p>\n
Ms. Chang’s recent “20\/20” stories include a multi-part examination of gender bias based on Norah Vincent’s book “Self Made Man”, a profile of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, and a look at “toxic neighbors” with former battling neighbors Jim Belushi and Julie Newmar. She has also recently reported on the somewhat obscure asexuality movement, the well-established pitfalls of mother-daughter relationships and marriages.<\/p>\n
Ms. Chang won a Gracie for a “Now” on PBS story about judicial activism and a Freddie for a series she hosted also for PBS called “The Art of Women’s Health”.
\nFrom 1999-2000 she anchored the early morning newscasts of ABC News’ “World News Now” and “World News This Morning.”<\/p>\n
From 1998 to 1999, Ms. Chang reported primarily for “World News Tonight,” covering such stories as the U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya, Hurricane George and the anniversary of the nuclear accident in Chernobyl.<\/p>\n
Ms. Chang was based in Washington, DC, from 1996 to 1997, where she covered the White House, Capitol Hill and the 1996 presidential election for NewsOne, ABC’s affiliate news service. Prior to her NewsOne assignment in Washington, she was a reporter for KGO-TV in San Francisco, from 1995 to 1996, where she covered a variety of state and local issues.<\/p>\n
Between 1991 and 1995, Ms. Chang served as a producer and off-air reporter for “World News Tonight.” She was a producer of the “World News Tonight” series on women’s health, which won a duPont-Columbia Award. Her off-air reporting assignments included the 1992 presidential campaign. During the Gulf War in 1991, she was based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Ms. Chang graduated with honors from Stanford University with a Bachelors degree in political science and communications.
