\n\u2022\t10,000 still missing
\n\u2022\t2,852 buildings were destroyed and over 40,000 damaged
\n\u2022\t5,000 houses remain inundated, 2,700 houses washed away, and
\n1,800 houses destroyed
\n\u2022\t827 roads, 47 bridges, and seven railways damaged
\n\u2022\tCommunication is down for more than 20,000 people<\/p>\n

What are we to do, as artists, at a time like this when \u201cour hands\u201d are truly needed? Setting aside personal endeavor, practice, and vision, how can we utilize our talents in exchange for a change that counts more than those jingling in our pockets? As an art collective, we ask you to join us in an effort to create something that will bring about direct impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One-night only Art Salon fundraiser for Japan Red Cross at AGallery on Friday, April 29th, 2011, 6pm \u2013 9pm. All donated art will be on sale for $100.<\/div>\n
Submission: Work may be submitted via email to: aksubmission@gmail.com<\/p>\n

Please label each Jpeg image with the artist\u2019s name, title, medium, and size and a contact phone number.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Accepted Work: Artists will be informed of the juror\u2019s decisions by Saturday, April 24th. All works must be dropped off READY TO HANG between Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th; from 3pm \u2013 6pm.<\/p>\n
