The RiCECOOKERS is a New York based Japanese ROCK band. They met while attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music. They went on a Tokyo tour during the spring of 2010, where a renowned Film Director, Yukihiko Tsutsumi (Director of the feature film “20th Century Boy”) saw their show\u00a0by chance and\u00a0was blown away by their explosive live performance. He later described them as “the kind of rock music that I’ve been waiting for”. He soon booked the bands as the theme song for\u00a0his 2010 TV drama series titled\u00a0“SPEC”(TBS Network) making history as\u00a0the very first unknown Indie band to be featured as\u00a0a theme song.<\/p>\n
Soon after their dramatic debut,\u00a0THE RiCECOOKERS quickly climbed\u00a0the charts and became one of the\u00a0most talked about rock bands in Asia.<\/p>\n
Most recently,\u00a0THE RiCECOOKERS released their first album\u3010s\u00e9lf\u3011and\u00a0continue performing in NYC\u00a0at venues such as Arlene’s Grocery and Fontana’s.<\/p>\n
