Hot off their NY2CN: Can’t Stop It!!! China tour, PaperDoll puts the finishing touches on their much anticipated sophomore album “Sashimi Deluxe” out April 2012. In the mean time, the indie pop band is offering hometown New York fans and press a sneak peak on Saturday, February 18th at Mercury Lounge where they’ll play select tracks and debut a new music video for single “Silent”.<\/p>\n

Their self-released 1st album – Ballad Nerd Pop (2010) – has generated over 150,000 streams and downloads worldwide; boosted by their recent popularity in China where on their last tour, they sold out 5,000 physical units in the first week.<\/p>\n

Since their 1st release, they’ve toured Ireland, the US, and China; opened up for Mos Def, Joan Jett, and OhLand; commanded the stage at Gay Pride; and landed sync deals with Dayquil, Nike, MTV Asian, and multiple feature films including the upcoming “White Frog” starring BooBoo Stewart (Twilight), Harry Shum Jr (Glee), Gregg Sulkin (Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place), Kelly Hu (Scorpian King, X-men), Tyler Posey (MTV’s Teen Wolf). They also found a new producer for “Global Citizens”; Meteor-Award winning Michael Moloney of top Irish band Director. An easy fit as he’s brother of PaperDoll guitarist Patrick Moloney.<\/p>\n
