Our Client, a successful and profitable national Insurance Brokerage company, located in Nassau County, LI, is currently in a growth mode. They are in search of a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to assist them with the reconciliation of their accounting department. They are looking for someone with strong Analytical and research skills as well as strong GAAP financials to spear head this project and bring the company up to date.<\/p>\n

MUST HAVES:
\n4 year Accounting degree
\n2 + years in a Senior Accounting role
\nStrong GAAP accounting skills
\nStrong Excel skills
\nStrong General Ledger reconciliation skills
\nStrong researching and follow-up skills
\nStrong Analytical skills
\nStrong professional business acumen and communication skills
\nThe ability to articulate findings in a clear and concise manner
\nExperience working in the Insurance industry and with AIMS software a plus, but not critical<\/p>\n
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
\nReconciliation of the General Ledger
\nAnalysis of various accounts, including Profit and Loss statements and balance sheet accounts
\nResearch and reclassify expenses
\nHeavy Bank reconciliations
\nAssist with the Month end close process, journal entries, matching inter-company activities
\nAssist in preparation of monthly financial statements<\/p>\n
