{"id":17895,"date":"2012-04-26T03:35:39","date_gmt":"2012-04-26T07:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=17895"},"modified":"2012-04-25T13:37:05","modified_gmt":"2012-04-25T17:37:05","slug":"2012-72-hour-film-shootout-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=17895","title":{"rendered":"2012 72 Hour Film Shootout Begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aafilmlab.org\/72hours\/\" target=\"_blank\">The 72 Hour Film Shootout<\/a> <\/strong> is a nationwide competition organized by <strong><a title=\"Asian American FIlm Lab\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aafilmlab.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asian American FIlm Lab<\/a><\/strong> where filmmaking teams have 72 hours to write, shoot, edit and produce short films up to five minutes in length on a common theme.\u00a0 AsianInNY is very excited and honored to be one of the media sponsors.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/shootout_2012.gif\" rel=\"lightbox[17895]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17896\" title=\"shootout_2012\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/shootout_2012.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"408\" height=\"32\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the Shootout&#8217;s inception in 2004, this annual competition has created opportunities for Asian Americans to demonstrate their talent, gain exposure in the entertainment industry, and to impact the visibility of Asian American stories and characters in film and television. A requirement of the Shootout is that at least one key production member and a lead actor from each team must be of Asian descent.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some dates and details.
