Job Description:<\/strong>
\nWe are recruiters that specialize in the placement of Insurance and Reinsurance professionals. Our client is a successful reinsurer located in New York City. We are working together to identify qualified candidates for a Supervisor\/Senior Reinsurance Accountant. <\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Ensuring accurate and timely entry of assigned accounts into reinsurance information system.<\/li>\n
  • Assisting in validating entries for quarter-end close, including estimates and accruals.<\/li>\n
  • Reviewing calculations on Profit Commissions, Sliding Scale Commission Adjustments, Premium Adjustments, Loss Corridors, Funds Held, and other Accounting entries.<\/li>\n
  • Responding to Management questions concerning the results and transactions in the assigned treaties. <\/li>\n
  • Following up with brokers and companies for missing accounts and unanswered questions. <\/li>\n
  • Assisting unit manager in preparation of management reports, and in preparation of quarterly and year-end financial and statutory reports. <\/li>\n
  • Assist manager with workflow, assigning tasks, and supervision of assumed accounting area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 7-10 years of experience within Reinsurance Accounting.<\/li>\n
    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent work exp.<\/li>\n
