Taiwanese actress Michelle CHEN \u9673\u598d\u5e0c, arguably one of the hottest new talents to emerge in Greater China in the past year, has been snapped up by ATN Talent Management Ltd \u5927\u570b\u8c50\u81e3\u6f14\u85dd\u4eba\u6709\u9650\u516c\u53f8.<\/p>\n

The newish company will represent the 29-year-old You Are the Apple of My Eye \u90a3\u4e9b\u5e74\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4e00\u8d77\u8ffd\u7684\u5973\u5b69\u3002 star worldwide, in all performing arts. Chen recently split from the management company of Apple producer Angie CHAI \u67f4\u667a\u5c4f.<\/p>\n

ATN, which is headed by producer Terence CHANG \u5f35\u5bb6\u632f and backed by the Tomson Group \u6e6f\u81e3\u96c6\u5718\u6709\u9650\u516c\u53f8 and Now TV \u5bec\u983b\u96fb\u8996, aims to promote Chen as a singer-songwriter, as well as an actress. It is planning her first album for 2013.<\/p>\n

Chen got her break on television in 2007. Last year’s performance as a schoolgirl in Apple was her third role after an award-winning supporting role in youth romance Hear Me \u807d\u8aaa (2009) and as female lead in Tempest of First Love \u521d\u6200\u98a8\u66b4 (2010).<\/p>\n

She has been linked with several upcoming films including WANG Ziming \u738b\u5b50\u9cf4’s The One Detective \u4e0d\u4e8c\u795e\u63a2 (opposite Jet LI \u674e\u9023\u6770), Clarence FOK \u970d\u8000\u826f’s Together \u5728\u4e00\u8d77 (opposite Donnie YEN \u7504\u5b50\u4e39), and Zero CHOU \u5468\u7f8e\u73b2’s Ripples of Desire \u82b1\u6f3e (opposite Hear Me co-star Ivy CHEN \u9673\u610f\u6db5.).<\/p>\n

Chang told Film Business Asia that Chen would star in two additional pictures being produced and packaged by his own production companies.<\/p>\n

One, currently being negotiated is a romantic drama to be partially shot in Europe, with the successful team of Raymond YIP \u8449\u5049\u6c11 and Manfred WONG \u6587\u96cb as director and producer. John WOO \u5433\u5b87\u68ee and Laura FU \u6d6e\u6a02\u84ee would also produce. The other is a love story that would feature Chen’s music.<\/p>\n

Chen attended the University of Southern California and speaks English as well as Mandarin. She recently received the New York Asian Film Festival’s Rising Star Award, previously presented to HUANG Bo \u9ec3\u6e24 and YAMADA Takayuki \u5c71\u7530\u5b5d\u4e4b.<\/p>\n
