\nJob Description:
\nResponsible for all patient billing for the practice, including copying and preparing payments for deposit, review of batch proofs, charge corrections and billing inquiries. Primary Duties and Responsibilities <\/p>\n

1. Reviews and codes all batched encounters on a daily basis. In some cases includes reviewing patients medical record to ensure all codes pertaining to visit are captured. <\/p>\n

2. Reconciles all cash, check and credit-card payments. <\/p>\n

3. Tracks missing encounters. 4. Posts all visits on a daily basis into appropriate databases. <\/p>\n

5. Reviews patient demographics and insurance information when irregularities are uncovered. <\/p>\n

6. Monitors and posts information provided by physicians of all hospital procedures on a timely basis. <\/p>\n

7. Prints and reviews batch proofs. 8. Copies and prepares payments for deposits which will be handed to Practice Manager. <\/p>\n

9. Charge corrections and claim resubmissions. <\/p>\n

10. Reviews and enters information identified as missing in order to release claims for payment. <\/p>\n

11. Tallies total number of deliveries per physician per month. <\/p>\n

12. Practices liaison with Managed Care\/Insurance company representatives to ensure that practice is in compliance and helps resolve billing issues. <\/p>\n

13. Handles billing inquires for practice; arranges payment plans with patients. <\/p>\n

14. Provides coverage for front desk when short staffed. <\/p>\n

15. Meets with Practice Manager on an on-going basis to discuss and resolve billing issues. <\/p>\n

16. Meets with Practice Manager and Finance Department as it relates to practice billing on a regular monthly basis. <\/p>\n

Job Qualifications:

\nAssociates Degree Preferred
\nMinimum Required Experience 0-1 years
