Regularly scheduled Week 3 performances for WAVE RISING SERIES have been canceled due to Hurricane Sandy. Join us Sunday, November 4, 2012 7:30pm at our John Ryan Theater. Tickets are $18 at the door. Everyone who comes gets a free beer or glass of wine on us! Beer is provided by Brooklyn Brewery in their Brooklyn Gives Back program.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re pleased to present a special performance, featuring SunHeon Dance Company (Korea) and Jennifer Mellor Dance Project. SunHeon Dance Company and Jennifer Mellor Dance Project were originally a part of WAVE RISING SERIES Program F.<\/p>\n

Consisting of 11 extraordinary dancers, WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company is committed to the creation of a union between the natural rhythm of the planet and the primal essence of the human spirit. Young Soon Kim and the company have appeared on many principal stages both in the US and the Far East \u2014 Joyce Theater, Kennedy Center, Dance Theater Workshop, Jacob\u2019s Pillow, American Dance Festival, Theater at St. Clemens, Florence Gould Hall, Judson Memorial Church, Dancenow Downtown Festival, National Theater of Seoul (Korea), National Theater of Taipei (Taiwan), Hong Kong Academy of the Performing Arts, Ichibangi Theater (Japan), as well as at regional venues across the United States.<\/p>\n

Over the last decade, WHITE WAVE\u2019s Artistic Director Young Soon Kim has gained eminence as one of New York\u2019s leading dance curators as producer of three annual festivals (DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL, WAVE RISING SERIES and Cool New York DANCE Festival) at WHITE WAVE John Ryan Theater; for all of these productions, WHITE WAVE presents new work and\/or repertory by Kim. WHITE WAVE\u2019s wide press coverage over the years has included interviews on CNN\u2019s International Inside Asia program and features for WWOR-TV Channel 9\u2019s 10 O\u2019clock News and Fox 5 TV\u2019s Good Day New York.<\/p>\n
