The Caring for Children Awards are presented to distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to the lives of Asian Pacific American children, youth and families in New York City.<\/p>\n

The Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) was founded in 1986 as the nation’s only pan-Asian children’s advocacy organization.<\/p>\n

CACF believes that children of all backgrounds should have an equal opportunity to grow up healthy and safe and should live in a society free from discrimination and prejudice.<\/p>\n

CACF challenges stereotypes of Asian Pacific Americans as a “model minority” and advocates on behalf of underserved families in our community, especially immigrants struggling with poverty and limited English skills.
