Job Description
\nJob Objectives: This position will be responsible for providing accounting operation support to Allied World Reinsurance Company.<\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Be Doing:
\n\u2022 Become proficient in the use of TIRS \u2013 Allied World Reinsurance application
\n\u2022 Premium production- maintain monthly production spreadsheets, manual entry of non deposit contacts into TIRS and the oversight of automatic deposit premium contracts
\n\u2022 Premium Receivable management \u2013 creation of receivable reports and management reporting
\n\u2022 Manage oversight of the invoices being entered into TIRS by support personnel
\n\u2022 Reconciliation-TIRS to the general ledger, TIRS to broker documents, TIRS reports to underwriting report
\n\u2022 Maintain the calculation of profit commission and sliding scale commission adjustments
\n\u2022 Calculate and monitor reinstatement premium accruals
\n\u2022 Perform month end analytical of premium and acquisitions costs
\n\u2022 Monitor production to ensure there aren\u2019t any processing backlogs
\n\u2022 Provide information to internal and external auditors for sign-offs on financial statements
\n\u2022 Assist in review, establishment, testing and documentation of internal controls and procedures in accordance with company standards and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements<\/p>\n

What We Require:
\n\u2022 3-5 plus years accounting experience with evidence of increasing responsibilities in Accounting and\/or Audit role
\n\u2022 Insurance and\/or Reinsurance accounting background strongly preferred
\n\u2022 Strong information technology experience including familiarity with Microsoft Office and various general ledger products
\n\u2022 Experience in dealing with internal and external auditors
\n\u2022 Accounting certification (CA, CPA or CMA) strongly desired
\n\u2022 Ability to assess and anticipate the needs and issues of a rapidly growing Insurance\/Reinsurance Company
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills; management experience in leading an accounting\/financial team in a changing environment
\n\u2022 Proven ability to meet strict reporting deadlines, ability to deal with time pressure<\/p>\n
