ABOUT THE TEAM
\nKEVIN YEE (Writer, Director) is a Canadian born New York based artist. Best known for his extensive theater work he has performed with companies of MAMMA MIA, WICKED, and in the original Broadway cast of MARY POPPINS, as well as a season at the STRATFORD SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. His film\/TV credits include the award winning independent short film PRESENT PERFECT, as well as SAVE THE LAST DANCE 2, and a season of LAMBCHOPS PLAY-ALONG. As a writer and creator, Kevin has built an online following for his many short films as well as the comedy webseries\u2019 \u201cThe Manhattan Boys\u201d and \u201cThe Kevin Yee Show\u201d. He has written for the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada, and his full-length stage work AN ASIAN AMERICAN BASKETBALL MUSICAL is slated for a New York production in 2013. His one-man fringe show THE KEVIN YEE SHOW won a \u201cFruitee\u201d award for best music performance. His writing is also featured in the \u201cIT GETS BETTER\u201d book published by Penguin Books and created by Dan Savage. As a musician Kevin was formerly part of Quincy Jones\u2019 LA based boyband \u201cYouth Asylum\u201d. He recently released his sophomore solo album \u201cThe Kevin Yee Show\u201d, and has been inducted into the Virtual Museum of Asian Canadian Cultural Heritage for his contribution to visual arts. www.kevinyee.com<\/p>\n
YING LE (Producer) is thrilled to work with Desipina & Co again. Originally from California, Ying has produced numerous shows in Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia. She was the Resident Producer at the award-winning 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles for over five years. Recent producing credits include 2g’s “Instant Vaudeville: Breaking Bamboo” (HERE, NYC), Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai\u2019s \u201cSay You Heard My Echo,\u201d (HERE, NYC), \u201cLonely Leela\u201d (Desipina & Co, HERE, NYC), \u201cChlamydia dell\u2019Arte: A Sex-Ed Burlesque\u201d (Los Kabayitos Theatre, NYC). MA Candidate: Drexel University. BA: USC<\/p>\n
ROBERT COOKMAN (Music Director) has been touring the United States for the last 6 years as a musical director and keyboardist. He just \ufb01nished Come Fly Away’s 1st National Tour where he lead a 13 piece big band that accompanied original Frank Sinatra recordings. Rob is a member of the pop group, Knee Deep Shag. With Knee Deep Shag Rob has written, recorded, and made national TV appearances. Knee Deep Shag has won three Detroit Music Awards and one Chicago s Independent Music Award. Rob has been a soloist with the Dearborn Symphony (with grammy award winner Rhonda Larson), Mt Lebanon Percussion (Rhapsody in Blue), Western Michigan University Orchestra (Ravel s Concerto in G), and the West Virginia University Orchestra (Gershwin s Piano Concerto in F)Other Musical Director Credits include: Legally Blonde the Musical (2nd
\nNational Tour), Menopause the Musical (Chicago), Mamma Mia! (2nd National
\nTour, AMD), Movin Out (2nd National Tour), Swing! ((Japan Tour), and Cirque

KATIE HOUFF (Stage Manager) holds a BA in Dance from James Madison University. She spent summers \u201910 and \u201911 as a production intern with the American Dance Festival and two seasons touring with the West Virginia Dance Company as a dancer. She stage manages for Argentina\u2019s Brenda Angiel Aerial Dance Company when they come to the states, the most recent time being at The New Victory Theatre on 42nd Street in May 2012. This past summer she was promoted to Assistant Production Stage Manager at the ADF and produced all shows in the Durham Performing Arts Center as well as Shen Wei Dance Arts\u2019 performance installation in the North Carolina Museum of Art. She just moved to New York in August and is freelancing in technical theatre and stage management.<\/p>\n
