Displaced from their work space at One New York Plaza by Hurricane Sandy, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers’ second Artist in Residency program has been moved to the World Financial Center Winter Garden.<\/p>\n

This residency connects three artists with professional development, studio work space, and opportunities in the professional art community. Residents are past Scholastic Award winners who are beginning their creative careers. These artists are creating new works of art and following in the footsteps of other alumni like Andy Warhol, Richard Avedon, John Baldessari, Tom Otterness, Robert Redford, Sylvia Plath, Philip Pearlstein, and Truman Capote.<\/p>\n
