It was the third time Taiwan&#8217;s Tourism Bureau had sponsored the commercial in the year-end celebration in Times Square.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/TTB2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[26164]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26165\" title=\"taiwan tourism countdown times square\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/TTB2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"390\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The illuminated, crystal-covered ball is some 3 meters in diameter and weighs nearly more than 5,000 kilograms. It is expected to drop 20 meters in 60 seconds.
