Job Description
\nTitle: IT Financial Analyst
\nLocation: New York City
\nType: Consultant
\nLength: 6 months plus<\/p>\n

Overview:
\nThe IT Finance Analyst works with the IT Director, the IT Managers, Finance to manage day to day aspects of the IT budget and spend.
\n\u2022 Prepare expense projections
\n\u2022 Prepare monthly accruals
\n\u2022 Provide month-to-month spending variance explanations
\n\u2022 Monitor and reconcile corporate cross-charges.
\n\u2022 Provide actual-to-budget and forecast-to-budget variance explanations.
\n\u2022 Prepare and maintain project cost detail
\n\u2022 Validate project YTD budget\/actual\/forecast report prepared by Business Planning.
\n\u2022 Prepare monthly project tracking report
\n\u2022 Utilize Finance processes and systems to review, validate and seek approval for payment of all IT vendor invoices
\n\u2022 Update and maintain database for ad hoc reporting purposes
\n\u2022 Market Data Expense Allocation Support
\n\u2022 Update and maintain market data vendor database
\n\u2022 Provide quarterly user allocation report to Business Planning.
\n\u2022 Purchase additional market data vendor licenses for new users and reduce number of licenses if required.
\n\u2022 Maintain hard\/soft copy of vendor contracts
\n\u2022 Cell phone and Blackberry coordinator
\n\u2022 Manage purchase of devices, coordinate activation, and record keeping.
\n\u2022 Operations Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management database
\n\u2022 Coordinate tracking of outstanding tasks for Operations management.
\n\u2022 IT Physical Inventory Checking
\n\u2022 Perform annual physical IT equipment inventory review
\n\u2022 Document inventory checks results with Finance
\n\u2022 Perform inventory disposal spot check.
\n\u2022 Document all procedures
\n\u2022 Obtain approvals for procedures from Finance<\/p>\n

Core Requirements:
\n\u2022 Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
\n\u2022 Professional experience in general accounting operations, financial management, budget and cost accounting.
\n\u2022 Able to work independently
\n\u2022 Strong collaborative skills
\n\u2022 Analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities
\n\u2022 Planning, organizational and administrative skills
\n\u2022 Interpersonal and communications skills
\n\u2022 Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
\n\u2022 Procedure writing skill
\n\u2022 Understanding of IT Operations and Projects accounting
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Investment Management market data and systems
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance<\/p>\n
