Dance Parade celebrates diversity by showcasing all types of dances  around the world through sponsorship of a yearly, citywide parade and  festival. Additional programs include education outreach, residencies  and artistic partnerships to increase public awareness and showcasing  dance on multiple platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Tompkins Square Park, the destination of the parade at  Avenue A and  Saint Marks Place, comes alive with choreographed  performances,  workshops and social dance\u2013all free to the public. For  2013, there will  be 3 stages: A Performance Stage, Family Friendly Stage  and Teaching  Stage.
