AsianInNY<\/a><\/strong> along with organizers Taiwanese American Association of New York<\/strong> and Tai-Ke New York<\/strong> will present \u201cHello Taiwan NYC!\u201d<\/strong> concert to showcase two amazing bands from Taiwan: 88Balaz (\u516b\u5341\u516b\u9846\u82ad\u6a02\u7c7d) <\/strong>and Monkey Pilot (\u7334\u5b50\u98db\u884c\u54e1)<\/strong> for their US tour in New York City on May 18th at Drom music venue where many musicians have performed.<\/p>\n

Our NYC\u2019s very own the Hsu-Nami, Late Cambrian and Torpid May<\/strong> Bands will also rock the stage with them.<\/p>\n

Monkey Pilot made out of seasoned musicians from different famous Taiwan indie bands collaborating together in a Supergroup. Their music featured in Taiwanese drama soundtracks and and got nominated in many different category in the 21st and 22nd annual golden melody award. (biggest Taiwan Music award) They recently released their 2nd full lenghth album “Big Child” in the summer of 2012.

An international renowned Erhu fronted instrumental prog-rock band from the New York city. The Hsu-Nami. Integrates an amplified electric \u201derhu\u201d, a tweaked two-string spike fiddle used in Chinese classical and folk music, into a rock lineup. Hsu-Nami\u2019s music was featured in the 2008 Summer Olympic in Beijing. The track \u201cRising of the sun\u201d was the theme music representing the Chinese Basketball team entrance theme.
