\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and independent designer that possesses a strong sense of style and has a proven track record of translating fashion trends into women’s fashion jewelry design for boutique\/specialty retailers. You must have experience working with metals, manipulation and a diverse list of components. Possess a natural ability to spot color and trend design opportunities. Highly creative always pushing the boundaries while staying cognizant of the Banana Republic filter\/lens. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a deadline driven environment.<\/p>\n

Project and portfolio required for those candidates that are qualified. <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Responsible for managing the design process from conception through to final styling for assigned product category. <\/li>\n
  • Responsible for product design process to include market research, conceptual presentations, design and guidance through fabric, print, spec and fit processes. <\/li>\n
  • Responsible for researching markets in order to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, etc. <\/li>\n
  • Actively participates in the conceptual development of product lines (i.e., sells ideas\/concepts and convinces others to adopt a course of action). <\/li>\n
  • Provides recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc. <\/li>\n
  • Provides insight regarding style and fit of product during presentation. <\/li>\n
  • Ensures that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy. <\/li>\n
  • Provides direction for colorways on stripes, plaids and prints. <\/li>\n
  • Responsible for fabric and trim selection. <\/li>\n
  • Works with technical designer and pre-production partner to ensure design packages are complete and accurate. <\/li>\n
  • Partner with merchandising to assort line and develop product appropriate for business needs. <\/li>\n
  • Seasonal travel for research and\/or product development is required. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • 3-4 years of jewelry design and technical jewelry knowledge.<\/li>\n
    • Freehand and 3-D technical sketch required. <\/li>\n
    • Must be a master of multitasking. <\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of components, resin, fine metals and semi-precious stone. Experience with model making a plus. <\/li>\n
    • Strong computer knowledge including Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel. <\/li>\n
    • Strong sense of style and color. <\/li>\n
    • Strong communication and organizational skills. <\/li>\n
