We plan, create, manage and measure business communications that optimize how our clients acquire, develop and retain their customers.<\/p>\n<p>Our New York team is currently seeking a Front End Developer to work with all RMG Connect departments to assigned client, accounts and projects.<\/p>\n<p>What you do?<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately the Front End Developer is responsible to:<\/p>\n<p>Standard types of work will be emails, landing pages, assist UX with concept testing<br \/>\nDevelop interfaces, templates, and the tools to navigate a web site<br \/>\nPerforms unit testing at the page level, contributes to code standards document, and leads code reviews<br \/>\nReviews specifications and provides time estimates on the development of projects and features<br \/>\nPartners with IA, Software Engineers, QA, Designers, Copywriter and Flash Developer to ensure quality Experience Design deliverables<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Leadership<br \/>\nActs to serve as a &#8220;role model&#8221; for other developers assigned to project work, including time management, attendance and basic professional bearing<br \/>\nDirects and leads the developers to understand standards and new technologies<br \/>\nMeets with project managers to review project needs from a development standpoint<br \/>\nIs an advocate for the Interactive Development discipline in interactions between designers and back-end developers, including best practices and processes<br \/>\nAttends meetings and represents the development team on a regular basis<\/p>\n<p>Technical Knowledge<br \/>\nStrong background in building emails and is used to tabled layouts<br \/>\nProduce clean, semantic markup that can be easily modified by other team members<br \/>\nDevelop elegant web solutions that perform appropriately and degrade gracefully in multiple browsers, platforms, and media types<\/p>\n<p>Innovation<br \/>\nProactively seeks new opportunities to use new technologies that enhance the clients site<\/p>\n<p>Execution<br \/>\nDeadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within tight timeframes<br \/>\nEnsures that code has been unit-tested and validated before delivery to QA<\/p>\n<p>Relationships<br \/>\nThe ability to work with remotes team of Front End and Back End Developers<br \/>\nProvide timeline estimates for the development phase of upcoming projects<br \/>\nCommunicates effectively and respectfully with staff and clients on development needs<br \/>\nReview information architecture and creative designs for feasibility; advise other disciplines of obstacles and negotiates solutions within project scope, timeline, and budget<\/p>\n<p>What you need?<\/p>\n<p>3+ years of professional web development experience<br \/>\nExpert-level knowledge of, HTML, CSS and standard development tools<br \/>\nStrong attention to detail; ability to unit test work for technical and visual excellence<br \/>\nExperience with Content Management Systems and Web Accessibility Guidelines\/Section508 strongly preferred<br \/>\nExperience and knowledge of integrating XHTML, HTML, etc with back end templated systems such as Symphony or Drupal is a plus<br \/>\nComfortable working with integrating and working with\/around existing code fragments<br \/>\nCapable of building W3C compliant pages and creating solutions for rendering inadequacies of browsers such as Internet Explorer 6<br \/>\nA working knowledge of Flash, Flex, JavaScript, Ajax<\/p>\n<p>We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) and a generous company holiday schedule.
