Position Summary:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Controller will handle day-to-day responsibilities related to month end closings, preparing quarterly financial statements, reconciling and accounts payable.\u200b\u00a0 The successful candidate will take charge of the monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting processes, define and document procedures, implement appropriate controls, and help us continue to streamline our proprietary financial systems.\u200b\u00a0\u00a0The position will manage two direct reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

Position responsibilities:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Responsible for the accuracy of monthly financial reporting and forecasting process ensuring that all reported and forecasted results are in compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide accounting advice and guidance to the executive leadership <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Analyze data to detect errors or missing information and initiates corrective actions as needed<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare monthly financial statements and business forecasts including journal entry data and assists with monthly invoicing <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work with Management to develop operating plans and financial forecasts consistent with overall business strategy <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Manage the capital budget, including additions and retirements, spending control, depreciation expense, and management reporting<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work with external auditors to complete annual financial audits <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Develop process improvement plans and capabilities of accounting\/\u200bfinance staff<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Perform other special projects or duties when required<\/span><\/p>\n

Position Requirements:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance related field<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of 5 to 7 years accounting experience in financial services industry<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span>Experience working for a multi-state, global, and entrepreneurial environment<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent understanding of best practices and process streamlining <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Willingness to learn, be flexible, and possess the ability to work effectively under deadlines<\/span><\/p>\n
