Smith Elementary School celebrated the Lunar New Year with a special show for the school\u2019s 600 students. In addition to the celebration at P.S. 1, McDonald\u2019s was also a sponsor of the Better Chinatown Society\u2019s New Year Firecracker Ceremony and Lunar Year Parade and will be marching in the Flushing Lunar New Year Parade this Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lunar New Year is a time to celebrate our families, communities and friends, which are universal values that everyone shares,\u201d said Tony Scari, McDonald\u2019s New York Metro Co-op President. \u201cMcDonald\u2019s is very proud to be working again with terrific community institutions like P.S. 1 elementary school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Year of the Horse celebration kicks-off another exciting year of activity in the New York Tri-State Asian American community for the brand.
