Yesterday&#8217;s Open Gate Event, Flushing Meadows Corona Park attracted over 5,000 people.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/queens.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[41501]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41502\" title=\"Queens celebrates 50 years since iconic 1964 World's Fair\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/queens.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"395\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These landmarks are among a number of attractions still standing from the 1964 World&#8217;s Fair, which opened in Flushing Meadows Corona Park 50 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few activities not to miss especially at Queens Museum: Opening April 27 is an exhibit of posters that pop artist Andy Warhol did for the &#8217;64 World&#8217;s Fair, inspired by mug shots of the city&#8217;s 13 most-wanted criminals from 1962.
