Small Business Relationship Specialist (Medicaid Managedcare)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

POSITION: <\/span>Small Business Relationship Specialist <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

TERRITORY:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Brooklyn (providing assistance in Queens and LI when needed)<\/span><\/p>\n

PURPOSE OF POSITION<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Establish partnerships with owners of small businesses in Affinity Health Plan\u2019s service area by effectively executing the small business marketing strategy.\u00a0\u00a0 Develops opportunities with employers of low and middle income individuals who do not have access to health insurance through their employers<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

1. <\/span><\/span><\/span>High School Diploma or equivalent required with Associates Degree in related field preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum three (3) years of related experience in sales, business development, community relations or related field, preferably in a managed care setting.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum two (2) years street\/door-to-door product, realty insurance, and retail or telemarketing field sales operation. Managed Care or Health Care field sales management preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Excellent interpersonal, oral communication, listening, and persuasion skills are required.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge and understanding of New York Metropolitan area communities, its business and community and health networks, educational institutions, governmental agencies and civic and community leaders. <\/span><\/p>\n

6. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Basic level proficiency with computer software applications and office technology. <\/span><\/p>\n

7. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Commitment to the corporate mission, vision, and values.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. <\/span><\/span><\/span>High level of integrity as demonstrated by I) appropriate treatment of confidential information, 2) adherence to policies, procedures, rules and regulations, 3) professional conduct in dealing with persons internal and external to the organization and 4) sensitivity to target populations.<\/span><\/p>\n
