\nABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
\nAn MS SQL SERVER PROGRAMMER is a member of the FTI Consulting FLC Technology Services team that includes Unified Consulting and Ringtail. Ringtail Legal is Ringtail\u2019s flagship web-based document repository and native file review offering. As a vital resource within the Unified Consulting Team, this individual will provide expertise in development and delivery of file imports, SQL queries, stored procedures as well as perform various data integrity and hygiene activities.
\nPRIMARY DUTIES:
\n\u2022\tWork directly with users to gather requirements and produce optimal project solutions
\n\u2022\tDevelop SQL queries and stored procedures
\n\u2022\tAssist with data imports and data exports
\n\u2022\tAssist with routine database monitoring and maintenance ensuring data hygiene and other data-related routines execute as expected
\n\u2022\tDevelop ad hoc and\/or standard reports as required
\n\u2022\tUse troubleshooting skills to isolate, diagnose and resolve data integrity problems
\n\u2022\tAssist FTI staff with onsite maintenance of the file servers.
\n\u2022\tAssist FTI staff with troubleshooting network issues
\nSKILLS REQUIRED:
\n\u2022\tProven, strong understanding of relational database concepts as well as database and index tuning concepts
\n\u2022\tExposure to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service.
\n\u2022\tProficient with Microsoft SharePoint.
\n\u2022\tAttentive to details
\n\u2022\tAble to solve problems independently and work with a team
\n\u2022\tStrong communication skills (written and verbal) to enable effective interaction with both technical and non-technical people
\n\u2022\tFlexibility – ability to work under tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management skills
\n\u2022\tProficiency with MS Office applications
\n\u2022\tMaintain a high level of professionalism at all times
\nEDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
\n\u2022\tBA or BS of Information Technology or a related field \/ or equivalent education and work experience
\n\u2022\t5+ years of relevant experience with MS SQL Server 2000\/2005
\n\u2022\t5+ years experience designing and writing complex T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and views to aggregate\/manipulate data.
\n\u2022\t1+ years experience with MS SQL Server Reports
\n\u2022\t1+ years experience with MS VSS, PVCS, or other version control software
