Our company provides a diverse offering of professional IT staffing services, project-based IT solutions and IT full time search services to Financial, Insurance, Pharmaceutical, and Manufacturing firms in the New York metropolitan area.<\/p>\n

Galen Technology Solutions is currently looking for a candidate with the following experience for one of our clientele:<\/p>\n

MUST HAVE:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Have experience providing production support in a complex enterprise\u00a0 environment
\n\u2022 Basic knowledge of the Unix and Windows platforms
\n\u2022 Good knowledge of Sybase ASE \/ Transact-SQL
\n\u2022 Good knowledge of Perl and other scripting languages
\n\u2022 Knowledge of capital market\/equity environments
\n\u2022 Murex 2000 highly desirable<\/p>\n

Position Objectives<\/p>\n

We are looking for a specialist to provide primary and secondary support on the New York Equity IT platforms. The candidate would be responsible for monitoring a variety of environments as well as identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues that arise. He\/she will interact with developers, users, and others in production support in New York, Paris, and other BNPP locations.
\nThe candidate should be familiar with basic client-server and web-based architectures. He\/she should be able to navigate both the Unix and Windows platforms; write basic SQL queries; and develop programs in a scripting language.
\nHe will work from noon to 9pm and will be part of a follow the sun production team involving Paris, NYC and Mumbai.<\/p>\n

Working hours :
\non site : every working day and every bank holiday except on December 25th and on January 1st
\non call : All the monitoring is automated. A robot (Tetracall) calls the on duty person automatically as soon as an alert is raised by a monitoring script.
\nin addition most of the weekends on site or remotely for release deployments and heavy operations (deal deletion, database maintenance, infrastructure\/software migration, DR test, …). The applications in MXFUNDS perimeter are used 23 hours a day, 5 days a week (Asia and US users connect to Paris platform) so weekends are the only slots to operate.
\nOn call duties will be shared between the people in Paris an Mumbai. Nyk could be involve for Bank holiday or weekend<\/p>\n

\nMEF (Murex Equity Front)
\nMurex Prime Brokerage (Hawk)
\nMurex Commodities Front (CIT)
\nHFTrader<\/p>\n

Position Responsibilities<\/p>\n

TRANSITION :
\nvalidation and testing (non regression technical tests)
\nchange management
\nrelease deployement (in UAT and production environments)
\ndocumentation
\nOPERATION :
\nevent management
\nincident management (technical incidents and some functional incidents)
\nproblem management
\nuser request management<\/p>\n

The follow the sun organization will be based on a 3 sites relay : New York -> Mumbai -> Paris. Tetracall will be switched from Paris to New York at 6pm Paris time (noon New York). Then Tetracall will be switched from New York to Mumbai at 8pm New York time (5:30am or 6:30am Mumbai time). Paris will remain on call for level 2.<\/p>\n

\nKnowledge of French is a plus<\/p>\n
