ISE Cultural Foundation is pleased to present \u201cISE NY Art Search 2013 Award Winners Exhibition\u201d featuring Isa Ho, Yutaka Kamiyama, Tomoo Nitta, Shu Ohno, Manju Shandler, and Mayu Shiomi.<\/p>\n

Taiwanese artist, Isa Ho creates layers and a sense of three-dimensionality in her photo images. She talks about the ambiguous self-awareness and the singularized value outlook observed in today\u2019s world. Yutaka Kamiyama who defines himself as \u201cOcean Sculptor\u201d presents a series of sea creature work. Kamiyama\u2019s concern about natural environment makes him learn and observe how each creature moves in order to create movable wood sculptures with amazing craftsmanship. Nancy Lim Award winner, Tomoo Nitta is showing a series of three \u201cGolden Ball\u201d video works, which are questioning people\u2019s struggle between conscious and unconscious in their social life. His video will be shown within the site-specific, interactive installation. At this exhibition, \u201cErosion\u201d and \u201cMultiplication\u201d are the main concept for New York based artist, Shu Ohno. Ohno accumulates various objects and transforms them into oddly organic work by removing the function of the objects. Another New York artist, Manju Shandler is a visual storyteller. Shandler is creating a new visual mythology that explores the process of mankind corrupting the natural world in pursuit of progress. Mayu Shiomi constructs the contemporary story which is directly linked to us by using familiar characters in fast food world such as Ronald McDonald in McDonalds and Wendy in Wendy\u2019s.<\/p>\n
