To celebrate NYFW and Chinese Moon Festival, Trendy New York is presenting “Shanghai 1930”- First Annual Cheongsam Charity Gala. Cheongsam is a stylish and form-fitting Chinese traditional dress for women and it is very popular among socialites in Shanghai in 1930. It is best portrayed by Maggie Cheung in “In the Mood ……for Love” (\u82b1\u6837\u5e74\u534e) and Tang Wei in “Lust, Caution” \uff08\u8272\u6212\uff09. It symbolizes elegance, class and sophistication. Shanghai in 1930 is \u201cParis of the East\u201d. Moon cakes and hors d’oeuvre will be served. Guests will receive Shiseido gift bags.<\/p>\n

There will be live piano performing all night long. Super model Grace Bol will grace our red carpet and National Ms. 2014 Jeannette Josue will rock rose petal our runway with 14 gorgeous models! Very romantic! Can’t wait! Three lucky winners will get big surprise gifts!<\/p>\n
