Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) is a leader in providing quality, culturally relevant, and affordable health care and education, and advocate on behalf of the health and social needs of underserved Asian Americans. CBWCHC\u2019s Hepatitis B programs provide low and no-cost screening, monitoring, and care. Additionally, CBWCHC provides linkage to care, referral pathways and participates in hepatitis B advocacy efforts in the New York metropolitan area.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist with coordinating hepatitis B awareness and screening events<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Coordinate volunteer opportunities for student groups to get involved in hepatitis B advocacy and awareness activities<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist with data collection for hepatitis B research studies (administer informed consent and questionnaires to patients)<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Perform other administrative tasks as assigned<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Supervise special projects as assigned<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Previous experience working with community health projects, preferably in Asian communities<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Fluency in Mandarin and English<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Candidates pursuing an MPH, MIA, MPA, MSW or relevant degree and students in need of internship\/practicum advisors are welcome to apply<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to work 14 to 21 hours per week. Position is Part-Time<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Motivated, self-directed individual, able to work in a team<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Strong interpersonal, writing and analytical skills<\/p>\n
