<\/a><\/p>\nAshwini Ramaswamy, a soloist with the renowned Ragamala Dance Company, has studied Bharatanatyam with Ranee and Aparna Ramaswamy since age five and is honored to be a disciple of legendary dancer\/ choreographer Alarm\u00e9l Valli.<\/p>\n
Ashwini has performed in major national and international venues, including The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and National Centre for Performing Arts (Mumbai). She is the recipient of a McKnight Artist Fellowship, two Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grants, a Metropolitan Regional Arts Council Next Step Fund grant, and a Jerome Foundation Travel\/Study Grant.<\/p>\n
