J & H Equity Group has an immediate opening for a Construction Project Coordinator \/ Superintended in its Queen’s Office and job sites to assist the Project Manager in scheduling, tendering, awarding of contracts, reports, spread sheets and scopes of work.<\/p>\n
Duties:<\/p>\n
Assist in planning, budgeting, scheduling and tendering of work. Collaborate and coordinate closely with related third parties. Oversee any project evaluation, blueprints review and design modification.<\/p>\n
Participate in meetings with the trade contractors and as a part of the contract award procedure; review scope of works, prepare minutes and letter of intent<\/p>\n
Collaborate closely with the department of construction, with the application for all necessary government issued permits<\/p>\n
Assist in the coordination and collaboration of consultants, design and technical professionals, and other team members<\/p>\n
Assist sales and marketing team with pricing in Purchases Change Requests<\/p>\n
Collaborate with project cost control in reviewing alternative solutions<\/p>\n
Assist in reviewing drawings and specifications and provide feedback concerning costs and practicality<\/p>\n
Coordinate with on-site Construction Department in the preparation of trade change orders<\/p>\n
Analysis and recommend Trade contractor change orders in coordination with Project Manager and site personnel<\/p>\n
Other duties within the scope and purpose of the job, as requested by Project Manager<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Minimum 1-2 years relevant working experience in construction and project management<\/p>\n
Strong interpersonal and coordination skills, work well with team members and third parties<\/p>\n
Excellent oral and written communication skills<\/p>\n
Proficient in Micro Soft Windows 8, Excel, Word, Auto CAD and Micro Soft Project<\/p>\n
Positive attitude and experienced working collaboratively in a dynamic fast-paced team<\/p>\n
Possess a strong work ethic, with the ability to work efficiently and responsibly<\/p>\n
Self-motivated, capable of assuming increasing responsibility and interested in growing with the company<\/p>\n
