Japanese-American, Lisa Holt- Hodsdon specializes in painting and design, her husband Jacob, is a wood-turner. Jacob draws inspiration for the dolls from the natural beauty of wood with Lisa adding color and design to create their own interpretation of the traditional Kokeshi dolls, believed to bring prosperity, joy and a sense of safety to any space they occupy.
