As one of the largest Chinese-based social services agencies in the northeastern United States, the Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc. (CPC) provides culturally sensitive programs for all ages. CPC currently serves over 8,000 people daily through 50+ contracted programs in 33 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. CPC IS SEEKING A DEVELOPEMENT INTERN<\/strong><\/p>\n This internship is an opportunity for someone with exceptional analytical and writing skills to learn about the fundraising and development operations of a large nonprofit organization. S\/He will work directly with the Development Team on writing, research and evaluation of data \u2013 which are assignments and special projects that support the overall mission of the Chinese-American Planning Council. The internship will be located in our Manhattan Chinatown office. The start date, length of internship, and amount of hours per week are flexible, depending on the applicant\u2019s school schedule. \n\u2022 Assist with implementation of surveys, and collect and update data
\n\u2022 Research new best practice information affecting the non-profit field, and assist with grant and sponsorship proposals by collecting, synthesizing and analyzing data for projects
\n\u2022 Write up summaries of research
\n\u2022 Edit and write on special projects
\n\u2022 Help with contracts and other forms and information related to the development office if needed
\n\u2022 Prepare for and participate in the Walk-A-Thon
\n\u2022 Attend meetings and represent CPC\u2019s central administration at meetings with various programs and divisions
\n\u2022 Other duties as requested<\/p>\n\n
