(CPC) provides culturally sensitive programs for all ages. CPC currently serves over 8,000 people daily through 50+ contracted programs in 33 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CPC is seeking A Operations and Compliance Intern <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This internship is an opportunity for a student with exceptional analytic and organizational skills to learn the operations of a medium-sized nonprofit organization. S\/he will learn and work closely with the Operations Team on public health management assignments, Medicaid compliance responsibilities, and special projects that support the overall mission of the Chinese-American Planning Council. The intern may also serve as a liaison to various umbrella organizations to which the CPC is a member, to enhance CPC\u2019s advocacy within our organization on a variety of policy issues at the local and state level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours<\/strong>: at least 20 hours\/ week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upkeep CPC\u2019s Medicaid, HIPAA, and general compliance procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Provide staff with Medicaid Compliance training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Refine current written compliance policies and inter-program auditing procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Assist, develop and implement an agency wide Business Continuity Manual<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Assure quality assurance on food program that serves healthy meals to several childcare centers by conducting meal monitoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Attend meetings and represent CPC\u2019s central administration at meetings with various programs and divisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Provide administrative support, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College-level and graduate students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Candidates are asked to verify class standing and\/or grade point average.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Candidates should also be familiar with Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> Fluency in Cantonese and\/or Mandarins is also helpful but not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your resume with a cover letter including a brief explanation of why you are applying for this internship to the Volunteer &amp; Internship Coordinator at vchen@cpc-nyc.org (please write \u201cOperations and Compliance Internship\u201d in the subject line).
