Please join us on Saturday, May 7, 2016, for two back-to-back events: Ouyang Jianghe: Sichuan\u2019s Master Poet<\/em> and Writers Roundtable: Liang Hong, Li Juan, and Yan Ge<\/em>.<\/p>\n
1:00 PM \u2013 2:15 PM: Ouyang Jianghe: Sichuan\u2019s Master Poet<\/em><\/strong><\/em> 2:15 PM \u2013 3:00 PM: Reception<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n 3:00 PM \u2013 4:15 PM: Writers Roundtable: Liang Hong, Li Juan, and Yan Ge<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Following the reception, China Institute\u2019s Renwen Society<\/em><\/a> will host a roundtable discussion with three of Contemporary China\u2019s rising literary stars, moderated by Dr. Yan Yue of the United Nations\u2019 Chinese Language Program. Liang Hong, Li Jian, and Yan Ge all grew up in a rapidly changing China, and their stories have all garnered wide national attention. This discussion will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nOuyang Jianghe belongs to the \u201cthird generation\u201d of twentieth-century Chinese literature and is one of the so-called \u201cfive masters from Sichuan.\u201d This event will feature a reading of his works in both English and Chinese, followed by a moderated discussion. This event will be conducted in English.<\/strong><\/p>\n
