We have selected a schedule of classics that examine the conflict, and the deep, sometimes unexpected scars it has left on the Korean people.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/The-Korea-Society11.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[6545]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6549\" title=\"The Korea Society1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/The-Korea-Society11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"274\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/The-Korea-Society11.jpg 420w, http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/The-Korea-Society11-300x195.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This season&#8217;s classic films will examine how, even 60 years after, the effects of the War continue to haunt communities, divide families and fracture Koreans&#8217; sense of identity. Yong-soo escapes the grinding poverty of North Korea to China, hoping to find medicine for his pregnant wife, but ends up in South Korea, separated from his family forever.
