Free and open to all ages, it will feature three diverse artists from Taiwan for four hours of music and festivities. It is the first time in the history of SummerStage, the iconic New York City music festival, playing host to artists from Asia.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_0658.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[65743]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65744\" title=\"Taiwanese Waves\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_0658.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"324\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>SummerStage, a program of the CityParks Foundation, is known for presenting outstanding performances, free of charge in a world famous venue \u2013 Manhattan\u2019s Central Park. The focus \u2013 music, diversity, community \u2013 is embodied in the talent of the festival\u2019s performers.<\/p>\n<p>Among the performers for Summer Stage\u2019s \u201cTaiwanese Waves\u201d segment:<\/p>\n<p>Anpu \u5b89\u6ea5 (\u5f35\u61f8, Deserts Chang, Zhang Xuan): A decorated singer, songwriter, producer, poet, and more, she\u2019s known for her alternative sound that profoundly speaks to audiences.
