Korean baritone Claudio Jung performs opera arias, European songs, Korean lyric songs, and folk songs in this first performance of his recital tour, Jeju Haenyeo Korea \u2013 US Recital Tour. Jeju Haenyeo (\u201csea women\u201d) is a term that refers to female divers in the unique traditional culture of South Korea\u2019s Jeju Island. In November 2016, UNESCO will decide whether or not to include Jeju Haenyeo on its Intangible Cultural Heritage list. In honor of this, Jung will premiere the song \u201cJeju Haenyeo \u2013 Life in the Sea\u201d.<\/p>\n
