\u27a3 5PM: Restorative Justice Workshop
\nPeer Meditation Workshop
\nSchool-To-Prison Pipeline Workshops
\nThese workshops are led by students and schools using restorative practices, organized by Teachers Unite and Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice<\/p>\n
\u27a3 6PM: Forum Theater by The Ya-Ya Network and Sistas & Brothas United (SBU): A focus on the issues that students of colors face in schools specifically when it comes to suspensions. Forum theater will create an interactive space between performers and spectators to engage with everyday issues youth face that often lead to suspensions.<\/p>\n
There will be other performances by youth and organizations and as well as testimony from community members who have been directly impacted. If you would like to perform a piece (spoken word, song, skit…etc) please contact Arli@yayanetwork.org<\/p>\n
