Asian Heritage Celebration at LaGuardia Community College<\/p><\/div>\n

Final Asian Heritage<\/p><\/div>\n

To celebrate the diversity and success of the Asian cultures that make up its student population, LaGuardia Community College is hosting an Asian Heritage celebration.<\/p>\n

The event is free and open to the public and will be held in the College\u2019s main building at 31-10 Thomson Avenue in LIC<\/p>\n

Festivities start at 10 but the performances happen a little later.<\/p>\n

\u2022 10:30 \u2013 11:30 a.m \u2013 A panel discussion on Asian Americans in leadership roles. The event will take place in room E-500.<\/p>\n

\u2022 1:00 \u2013 2:00 p.m. \u2013 Yanjun Gao, a LaGuardia student who won the Association of College Unions International 2010 Collegiate Table Tennis Championship in men\u2019s singles, will challenge students to a game of table tennis. The activity will take place in the E-building atrium.<\/p>\n

+ An Exhibit displaying Japanese and Chinese traditional clothing and artifacts and featuring videos of tourist attractions in China and Japan.<\/p>\n
