Last few years, many local Taiwanese communities held the annual Hello Taiwan charity concert and raised over $30,000 to support Breezy Point firemen whose houses burned down in Hurricane Sandy, domestic violence victims in Queens and Brooklyn, typhoon victims in the Philippines, concert fire burn victims in Taiwan and Hurricane Matthew aftermath in Haiti. Also through the event, the “Hello Taiwan” charity concert is able to showcase top Taiwanese and New York local musical talent to the community.

This year, we dedicate the charity event to the kids in Puerto Rico who have lost their homes due to the disaster caused by Hurricane Maria.

Therefore, this year’s event, we would like to make it a family day so kids are encouraged to join the event to understand the meaning of “giving” and help to support the great cause to raise money to help rebuild Puerto Rico. Also , we have partnered with “The Little People Party” to bring kids with lots of games and toys to enjoy and celebrate Halloween together!

Even better, our Taiwanese Food Bazaar will feature delectable and authentic Taiwanese dishes that you can’t find anywhere else.

What can adults and kids do together?

– Entertainment – Activities – Food/Drink – Programs All proceeds from the event will go to support the Hurricane Maria Aftermath in Puerto Rico. So with good food, good music, and a good cause – what else could you ask for?

Organizers: AsianInNY.com, TAANY and New York Taiwan Center.

Participating groups: North America Taiwanese Women’s Association of New York, Taiwanese American Association of Greater New York, Taiwanese American Council of Greater New York, Taiwanese American Professionals of New York, Formosan Association for Public Affairs Young Professionals Group, Federation of Taiwanese Student Associations in New York, NYC Taiwanese & Taiwanese Friends Network, Association of Taiwanese Alumni in Greater New York and Taiwan Center.

Sponsors: Amerasia Bank, Anthem-Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Casual Home Worldwide, Crystal Window & Door Systems, Engross Inc., Essentia Water, Goode Realty, Happy Lemon, KULU Desserts, North America Taiwanese Women’s Association-New York, Queens Crossing, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, ROC (Taiwan) Overseas Community Affairs Council, Taiwan Center, Taiwanese American Council of Greater New York, Taiwanese American Association of Greater New York, The Fan Family, and Wanjashan International.

第8屆「喂台灣」慈善音樂會暨家庭日

時間：11月4日（星期六）下午4-7pm

地點：台灣會館 Taiwan Center, 137-44 Northern Blvd, Flushing, New York 11354.
