2018 DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL: A FOUR-DAY SPECTACULAR PRESENTING 75+ COMPANIES FROM NEW YORK & AROUND THE WORLD<\/p>\n
WHITE WAVE is pleased to invite you to submit applications to our 18th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival (DDF), to be presented our fourth year at the Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter\u2019s state-of-the art, 300-seat theater, at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s DDF will showcase the work of about 75 emerging and established choreographers\/dance companies from across the USA and abroad. The 2018 DUMBO Dance Festival is expected to attract audiences of more than 3,500+ people.<\/p>\n
Special Performance Opportunities:<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 An invitation to perform at the 2019 New Dance Festival in KOREA: After the 2018 DUMBO Dance Festival, one highly selected company will have the opportunity to perform in this festival.<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 An invitation to perform at the 2019 Detroit Dance City Festival: After the 2018 DUMBO Dance Festival, one highly selected company will have the opportunity to perform in this festival.<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 The Opening Night Gala on October 11th will be an elaborate Gala night featuring stellar performances by six companies from the DDF roster and WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company.<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 The Family-Friendly Sunday matinee performance lets children and their families discover the joy of dance.<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 The spectacular Grand Finale Performance concludes the festival with 8 outstanding companies.<\/p>\n
