{"id":9228,"date":"2012-03-15T08:36:31","date_gmt":"2012-03-15T12:36:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=9228"},"modified":"2012-03-30T10:57:24","modified_gmt":"2012-03-30T14:57:24","slug":"32nd-asianpacific-american-heritage-festival-is-looking-for-performers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.asianinny.com\/?p=9228","title":{"rendered":"33rd Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival is Looking for Performers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Want to perform for the <strong>33rd Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival<\/strong>?\u00a0 Eager to showcase your talents?<\/p>\n<p>The Asian\/Pacific American Heritage Festival is a free, day-long celebration of Asian\/Pacific Americans.\u00a0 Join AsianInNY on <strong>May 12th, 2012, from 11am-6pm<\/strong>, performing groups from the New York tri-state area will take the stage in front of an audience of over 5,000 in <strong>Dumbo Brooklyn<\/strong>. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We are currently seeking submissions for: 1. Performances from artists and companies working in music and\/or dance including folk, traditional, and contemporary expressions. 2. Must be appropriate for a family oriented 20-30 minutes performance on an outdoor stage. The event has a history of high media coverage featured in the New York Times, Newsday, the Village Voice, Time Out magazine, NY1 News, and many ethnic papers.
