EurasianNation.com is an online magazine and community for people of mixed Caucasian and Asian descent co-founded by sisters Carmen and Iris Van Kerckhove. In late 2000, then 14-year-old Iris Van Kerckhove started a community site for Eurasians because she felt that her needs as a biracial person were not being met by traditional Asian and Asian-American community sites. In less than a year, Iris found herself with over 200 members. Recognizing how large the potential audience was, Iris decided to expand and improve the site, working with her sister Carmen to relaunch it as EurasianNation in April 2002. Today the site boasts over 3,000 members and is one of the most popular online destinations for mixed race people.<\/p>\n

Mixed Media Watch is a collaborative weblog and grassroots coalition that works to promote more realistic, three-dimensional portrayals of mixed people, couples, families and transracial adoptees in film, television, radio and print media.
