Interior Lives: Contemporary Photographs of Chinese New Yorkers, on view at the Museum of the City of New York from October 26, 2018 through March 24, 2019, features the work of three photographers—Thomas Holton, Annie Ling, and An Rong Xu—who bring into focus the complex realities of Chinese-American immigrant life in the city. The exhibition is curated by Sean Corcoran, Museum Curator of Prints and Photographs, and is organized in conjunction with the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) exhibition Interior Lives: Photographs of Chinese Americans in the 1980s by Bud Glick. The US-China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music announces the inaugural season of the China Now Music Festival, October 19–22. The festival’s concerts take place at The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York City. The festival is dedicated to promoting an understanding and appreciation of music from contemporary China through an annual series of concerts and academic activities. The theme of the 2018 China Now Music Festival is Facing the Past, Looking to the Future: Chinese Composers in the 21st Century. Taiwanese Original Comics and Video Games to Participate in New York Comic-Con and Anime Fest

This year the New York Comic-Con collaborate with Anime Expo to host the first-ever Anime Fest @ NYCC at Pier 94 from October 4th to 7th, alongside with the New York Comic-Con in the Javits Center during the same period, and it is estimated that 200,000 fans will be attendance. Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, and organized by the Taipei Cultural Center in NY and the Chinese Animation and Comic Publishers Association, nine Taiwanese comic publishers including Tongli Publishers, Sharp Point Publishing, Ever Glory Publishing Co., Ltd. Kadokawa Taiwan Co., Dala Publishing Co., Gaea Books, Friendly Land Creative Co., Ltd., Uei-Shiang Co., Ltd., and VMage Co. Ltd., and two Taiwanese video game companies including Red Candle Games and Toii Games, will be participating at a special Taiwan Pavilion. EVA to take delivery of its first 787-9 Dreamliner Reveals new Royal Laurel Class business cabin by Designworks

EVA Air announced today that the delivery ceremony of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be held at Boeing South Carolina in Charleston on October 02, 2018. The new aircraft is configured for 304 passengers in two cabins, 26 in Royal Laurel Class business and 278 in Economy, and introduces brand-new seats and a new look throughout.
