Tusk Handbags Spring 2011 Preview

Luxury Handbag and Accessory brand Tusk premiered their Women’s and Men’s Spring 2011 Collections on Wednesday, February 23^rd at their flagship store in Chelsea NY, 242 W 26^th street. Hosted by Celebrity Dentist, Dr. Debra Glassman from Glassman Dental Care, the exclusive evening with help benefit The Children’s Dental Center of Greater Los Angeles.

For Spring 2011, the collection pays homage to New York Citywith a bohemian free spirit with emphasis on independence along with Asian influences that are wondrously evident throughout the fine Italian leather goods in rich soft and spicy colors. The form-fitting, functional designs are essential and inspired while the sleek organic lines and sumptuous textures are all trademarks of Tusk products.

There was a nice variety of luxurious and exotic leather bags, leather purses, leather backpacks, messenger bags, and totes. I liked the unique and versatile styles. There were lots of bags in pretty spring shades of green and lavender, beige, as well as metallic tones with nice hardware. Tusk also provide some fun services for guests at the event such as henna designs and manicures by Incoco.com.

AsianInNY was delighted to attend the Tusk event. We had the privilege to meet with the Tusk founder and creative director Hiten Manseta who was originally from India. Along with him, we also met designer Michelle Chang who was born in Taiwan. We wish both of them our best wishes and eagerly await upcoming events at their Tusk store for 2011!
