“Vivian Fang Liu was born to be a musician,” says Felix W. Orti
z, member of Assembly. Ms. Liu holds her Master’s degree in classical piano performance at New York University.She has won many prizes at piano and voice competitions in New York since 2002. Ms. Liu performed actively in tri-state region, venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Hammerstein Hall, Steinway Hall, Super Star Theatre, Hilton Grand Theatre and more recently was invited to perform at the Gracie Mansion of Mayor Bloomberg for the NYCHA celebration. Ms. Liu was a judge of 2010 Global Chinese Youth Musical Instrument Competition and she is also the piano adjudicator of New York State School Music Association.

Nicholas Myers
Saxophonist, composer, and reed player Nicholas Myers is an NYU graduate. He has had the opportunity to work and study with such musicians as George Garzone, Joe Lovano, Brian Lynch, Billy Drewes, Jean-Michel Pilc, Kenny Werner and Richard Bona. He has also had the chance to perform at numerous venues and festivals such as Cornelius St. Cafe (NYC) and Blue Note (NYC), as well as internationally at the Grand Tour Jazz Fest (Terni, Italy,) Peru Jazz Fest (Lima, Peru), and the Costa Rican Jazz Fest. (San Jose, Costa Rica).

Aaron Ewing
Aaron Ewing has been playing drums for 14 years. He has performed with Brian Lynch, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Lenny Pickett, George Garzone, Jean-Michel Pilc, and many others. Aaron recently completed an M.A. in Jazz Performance at New York University, where he also served on the faculty. He continues to teach and perform throughout the New York area.

James Clark
Jazz pianist James Clark (Steinhardt 09) has performed at The Blue Note, The Jazz Gallery, and The Knitting Factory. Currently, he performs every Saturday afternoon at Puppets Jazz Bar in Park Slope, Brooklyn. James is also an accomplished composer and arranger whose works have been featured in film and multi-media projects.

Noah Garabedian
Born and raised in Berkeley, California, Noah Garabedian began playing electric bass in middle school band. He quickly shifted towards the acoustic bass in high school when jazz became his focus. In his junior year of high school, he was accepted into the Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble, and in his senior year was also accepted into the San Francisco High School All-Star Jazz Ensemble; performing at the San Francisco Jazz Festival and the National Duke Ellington Competition in New York. He was awarded a John Coltrane National Scholarship in 2007. He participated in the Music Outreach program between UCLA and the Los Angeles Unified School District, and was selected as a finalist for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz graduate program. Recently relocated to Brooklyn, he has completed the first year of his Masters degree in Music Performance at New York University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor.

AAron Rockers
Aaron Rockers has established himself as a bandleader and formidable sideman in the NYC music scene. As a masters of music candidate in NYU Jazz studies program, Aaron studied and performed with seminal jazz greats such as Joe Lovano, Lenny Pickett, Randy Brecker, Kenny Werner, and Brian Lynch at the Blue Note, Jazz Gallery, and the Bowery Ballroom, the International Jazz Festival in Lima, Peru, The Grand Tour Jazz Festival in Terni, Italy, and the SantElpidio Jazz Festival in Sant Elipido, Italy.
