The Global Transaction Services Analytics team is responsible for business performance management, analytics and metrics focused towards achieving the division’s overall strategy of maximizing revenues and improving operating efficiencies.
The GTS Team is focused on the creation and development of a unique set of analytical tools that enable senior management to examine drivers of the business and its performance. The team produces monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc dashboards and metrics relating to topics surrounding Balance Sheet, Returns, Expense Analysis, Capital Optimization, Client Reporting, Unit Costing, Deal Life Cycles, Revenues, Headcount, Budget, etc. The analytics will cover Product and Region dimensions leveraging a vertical and horizontal model.
Role Description
The individual(s) will be responsible for working with the product coverage teams, business CAOs/CFOs, regional CAOs/CFOs and other support groups to build automated solutions around business dashboards/metrics to monitor the overall performance and strategy, monthly financial reporting, headcount tracking, monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts and the monitoring of performance against budgets, special projects and presentations.
The individual has a unique opportunity to liaise with senior management, product management, multiple groups in the Financial Division (Product Control, Balance Sheet Control, Regulatory Reporting and Planning & Analysis), Risk Management, Human Resources, Technology, Operations, etc.
Required Skills
• Interest in GTS and Financial Analysis
• Willingness to learn about businesses, understand data/trading systems/returns/performance/drivers to create robust and comprehensive analyses via technology solutions
• Knowledge of Cognos, Qlikview or other business intelligence software a plus
• Advanced level knowledge of using Excel for data analysis
• Good level of comfort with programming (i.e., SQL, Macros, VB Scripts, etc.)
• Experience reporting on dimensions/hierarchy data and understanding of logical data models
• Ability to work on a team as well as independently
• Capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a changing work environment
• Effective analytical/technical skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
• Attention to detail and producing a quality product
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science of any area of Engineering, Mathematics, Business
Administration, International Affairs, Economics or a related field of study.
Minimum Prior Work Experience Requirements:
